SUMMARY:
The book is about the murder of six women, and research of the famous detective Mycroft Pound.
The detective investigating the London Docks, and looking for a sailor named Jack.
The sailor was on a ship called California, and the detective wanted to question him.
When questioned, he had a long knife, stained with blood, in his pocket.
The detective arrested him, and took him to the police.
